In this engaging 12-week course, students will explore how to use AI tools, like ChatGPT, to support their academic success. They will learn practical applications for studying, brainstorming ideas, managing time, and preparing for assessments. This class provides hands-on learning experiences that teach teens to responsibly and effectively integrate AI into their daily routines, making their academic efforts more productive and efficient. Class Experience: This class is designed to help teens discover the power of AI for improving their schoolwork while fostering creativity and organization. Learners will: What will be taught? Gain an understanding of AI and how it can simplify studying, generate creative ideas, and manage tasks effectively. What topics will you cover? Topics include using AI for summarizing texts, brainstorming ideas, creating study plans, improving writing, and preparing for exams, as well as ethical considerations for AI usage. How is your class structured? Each class is interactive and features live demonstrations, group discussions, and opportunities for learners to practice using AI tools in real-time. How will you teach? Lessons include guided exercises, examples of AI in action, and collaborative activities that allow students to immediately apply what they’ve learned. What's your teaching style? My teaching approach is hands-on and student-centered, ensuring every learner feels supported and confident in their abilities. I use engaging methods like step-by-step tutorials, interactive Q&A sessions, and group problem-solving. How much will learners get to interact with you? Students will have plenty of opportunities to interact during live discussions, ask questions, and receive personalized feedback during each class. Collaborative activities will also allow learners to share ideas and experiences with their peers. This class aims to build students’ confidence in using technology while ensuring they develop essential academic skills and a responsible understanding of AI’s capabilities.
