Do you want to improve at the game of chess and finally beat your dad in a game? Do you want to improve your middlegame and destroy opponents with quick tactics? In this ongoing class, we will delve into numerous chess tactics such as forks, skewers, discovered attacks etc. which can lead to a decisive advantage in the game! We will be going over one tactic each class, where I first execute some examples of the tactics and...
Students will learn how to use forks, skewers, discovered attacks and pins in order to elevate their chess game.
During my junior and senior year, I was part of my high school's chess club where we played chess, went over strategies/tactics and watched professional tournament games. I also play chess online in several official platforms like Chess.com, Chess24 and LiChess. I have been studying the game of chess through books, videos, online classes, puzzles and of course practicing over the board. My ratings in Chess.com are currently 1350 in Bullet (1 minute chess) and 1500 in Rapid (10 minute chess). I am also the co-founder of my university's chess team.
