We will be reading and discussing the book How Full is Your Bucket for Kids by Tom Rath and Mary Reckmeyer. In this book, you learn about how saying unkind words to others not only takes joy from them but also takes joy from you. I hope to encourage students to share kindness and make them aware of the impacts that unkind words have on themselves and others. At the end of the class, we will discuss how we can spread the word of kindness and ways they can help fill other people's buckets. We will create a note that we can pass on to someone to help brighten their day.

Hi I have been teaching elementary school for 20 years. I have a love for teaching and my goal is to help students love to read and learn. Teaching kids to read if my favorite thing to do and I love watching kids go from beginning readers to fluent readers who don't want to put a book down.
I pride myself in helping scholars learn to have a growth mindset. Once scholars realize that mistakes are magical they will be more willing to try and learn from the mistakes they make.
