In this 4 week course students will learn the basics of stock markets, from how stock prices are set to historical events and potential career paths for stock traders. During the four weeks the students will manage a simulated stock portfolio and will share their earnings/losses during the course through discussions in the Outschool classroom. Students will learn what is a stock market, what is a stock, why companies decide to sell stocks, what type of jobs could a stock trader do, and will manage their own stock portfolio under supervision of the teacher.
I am an Economics graduate and have a strong understanding of finance. I also manage my personal investments since graduating college.
