Students will begin by introducing themselves and sharing something special. The teacher will read the story "Fancy Nancy's Elegant Easter." Throwing a fabulous and fancy Easter party is a very big job—and Nancy and Bree are in charge of decorating. This book includes thirteen flaps that open to reveal hidden surprises that will delight all festive Fancy Nancy fans! What do you like at Easter time? What are some of your traditions? After the story, students will color an Easter egg according to how they celebrate Easter. The teacher will ask questions, and the students will color their egg according to their answer for the question. Students will then color pictures to decorate their own houses for Easter. Please have the large glyph egg printed out before class.
