Hello and welcome! During our 4 days together, we will go on a Holiday Ballet Adventure! We will read, craft, dance, learn, socialize and most of all - share our love of Ballet! Each class will have a theme. We won't always read a book or do a craft, but we will do ballet every class. Day 1: Read "The Snow Dancer" by Addie Boswell * Dance like the snow dancer does in our book to winter music * Create Snowflake Ballerinas Day 2: 5 Positions of the feet (what are they? what are the arms associated with each position? what can we do in each position?) * Create a dance to instrumental music as a group * Craft: My Ballet Positions Tree Day 3: Nutcracker! We will watch short clips of the Ballet and work through each character in detail. We will talk about how each dancer dances differently to portray their character. *Activity/Craft sent for after class. Day 4: Holiday Ballet * We will learn a short dance combining all we have learned to a short mix of music from our 4 days together. * Create a beautiful Ballerina Holiday card to give away as a gift! It is necessary to ensure you have adequate space for this class, wear comfortable clothing, and keep a water bottle nearby.

I teach Movement classes in studio and online as well! I have been teaching dance for 15+ years to all ages (18months - adult) as well as Fitness classes to kids and adults. Dance has been a major part of my life for 32 years and I love bringing that passion to others. I've worked with young and old, special needs, low-impact or injured, wheel-chair bound, and all others!
I believe that Dance/Movement is a rare "sport" that is all-inclusive; gross and fine motor skills, spatial awareness, emotionally stimulating, builds self-confidence, improves discipline & listening skills, and much more.
My family consists of my super supportive husband, my oldest daughter (8) youngest daughter (6), and then the littlest one is 3years old, but he was born 3-1/2 months early. We spent a significant amount of time in the NICU in the city we live in and are forever grateful for modern medicine! Our life has been a rollercoaster and, as crazy as this sounds, I wouldn't have it any other way... mostly. haha!
Being a mama myself, I try to be flexible with my schedule and appreciate the understanding from parents as I navigate our medically complex son's needs as well as two active girls!
I offer discounts to siblings, love to work with groups that want to dance together online, and I am always willing to work with you on group discounts, multi-class discounts, and one-on-one private lessons!
