課堂經歷
The goal for this asynchronous self-paced course is for learners to design a meal in accordance with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA) framework for healthy eating. Learners will achieve the goal by following an interactive module guide that leads them through a learning journey of 4 easy to follow lesson steps (lessons) that build upon one another. An introductory video and learning materials are provided with each lesson. Learners may message the instructor through the Outschool LMS and messages will be answered within 24 business hours. Links to resources including a pretest to activate and assess background knowledge, an informational video, DGA publications, a posttest to assess comprehension, and a module satisfaction survey are embedded within the interactive module guide which allows learners to complete four lessons at their own pace. Learners will be introduced to the comprehension strategy of using a top-down topic web to classify information and assist with information retention. Learners interested in this course should have basic computer skills including knowledge of how to click on links, type with a keyboard, and send messages to the instructor through the Outschool LMS.
