In this course, students will learn how to effectively research topics in order to prepare them for their senior paper and/or college freshman writing courses. They will learn steps needed in order to gather data and how to disaggregate that data into chunks for use in their research report. I will structure the class by using screen shares of slides, showing students how to use external sites, and by discussion and Q & A. Highly certified English teacher with an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. I have taught students in grades 7-12 and college freshman (essay, research and composition courses). For my Doctorate, I went in depth through the steps of the research process. I rely on research paper-writing experience from what I have learned all the way from being a high school senior writing my senior paper, up to the level of research required for a doctorate. I want students to develop the knowledge to go into depth about topics they're passionate about.
