This is an engaging academic session and children will focus on a brilliantly illustrated book titled, Off To Market. Learners will make comparison about an African Market and a market in which they are familiar with in their community. Learners will listen to a read-aloud, participate in various questioning strategies, and draw a picture of a day that they decide to go to the market. Most of all, learners will discuss the importance of being kind and helpful to compare with one of the characters in the story. This is a fun approach to learning about social studies and interpersonal skills.
