First, students will be introduced to sequencing through the book, "Run, Turkey, Run!" We will ask questions and identify what happens first, next, then and last in the story. Next, students will then be guided to fill out a brainstorming sheet, where they can quickly sketch and/or write words that will inspire sentences about how their turkey will escape. Then, students will write four complete sentences using the words first, then, next and last; detailing their plan to help the turkey...
Students will use listening comprehension, brainstorming and an outline to produce a sequence writing piece.
