課堂經歷

This class is for students with some gymnastics experience. Prerequisites for the class include forward roll, cartwheel, and bridge. Each week, students will learn a new piece of choreography with gymnastics tumbling skills included.  More experienced students can substitute more advanced tumbling skills for the basics in the routine. Each class will be broken down into 4 segments:

1. Dance warm up to music
2. Tumbling practice: specifically the skill or skills in that week's routine
3. Section-by-section choreography breakdown
4. Performance of the entire piece (30 seconds - 1 minute) Students who would like to perform can be individually spotlighted.

Students will improve their rhythm, dance, and tumbling, as well as practice fluency of movement as they combine dance moves and tumbling skills together.

As with any sport or physical activity, gymnastics and dance carry a risk of injury. Minimize this risk by providing a wide open space, parental supervision, and comfortable, athletic clothing.
