Note: This is not a beginner class. Learners are required to have taken "Guitar for Young Learners" part 1 before signing up. In this class, younger learners will have the chance to build upon basic guitar skills. The class will cover note reading on the first 3 strings of the guitar, along with expanding upon previous knowledge of guitar chords. Week 1: First 2 strings review, "Blues" Students will review the notes on the first two strings of the guitar (B, C, D, E, F, and G) and apply...
Students will review the notes on the first 3 strings of the guitar, become more comfortable with note recognition, and apply these notes to new songs. They will review the chords C and G, and learn the chord D7 if not already familiar with it. By the end of the course, students will be able to play songs "Blues," "Aura Lee," and "When the Saints Go Marching In" and be able to identify a tied note and explain what it is.
