Welcome to Miss Dani's GRWM - Makeup Club! In this ongoing class, we will meet weekly to play with new makeup trends and do our makeup together, while developing our social skills in a safe, relaxed, and inclusive setting. Learners will be able to ask a professional model, actress and makeup artist (that's me!) any questions they may have about application, techniques, and different makeup looks they are interested in. At the beginning of each class, we will discuss any new makeup trends or products learners are excited about or have tried. One week before class begins, I will send a new makeup look and a detailed list of products/supplies required for the look that I will be doing in class. Learners are welcome to participate and do the same look, do their own look, or observe and ask any questions they may have. At the end of each class, we will vote on a new look to create or technique to focus on next class. During the voting process, I will encourage learners to express their creativity, listen to each other, and compromise. My teaching approach is relaxed and collaborative. I will encourage learners to engage with each other and share their ideas to foster creativity. While students may feel comfortable if they are familiar with basic makeup application techniques, no experience is necessary and all levels are welcome. This club is designed to bring together learners who are excited about expressing their creativity and practicing or learning a new skill, while having fun and feeling seen! This club follows a consistent theme, and as topics for the following week are discussed in class and are learner driven, the themes are subject to change. The look for the next class will be decided at the end of each class after discussing what looks or techniques the learners may want to practice. Students will learn new makeup techniques and be inspired to create new makeup looks. They will benefit from meeting new, like minded students and learning from each other as well.

Learners will be working with makeup and applying it to their faces. You will want to check the ingredients of the makeup before class to make sure there is nothing that the learner may be allergic to or irritate their skin. Parents are welcome to sit with your learner as we work in the class to make sure none of the products that are used cause your learner any discomfort. Please ensure that makeup brushes and applicators are kept clean to avoid any skin/eye irritations. I recommend cleaning at least once a week (preferably after each use).
Please supervise while removing makeup to ensure that makeup is removed safely and gently. Please ensure that the space is suitable - access to a mirror. Makeup products may stain or damage clothing, furniture or carpet so please take preventative measure.

While students may feel comfortable if they are familiar with basic makeup application techniques, no experience is necessary and all levels are welcome.
