Students will be introduced virtually to the fruit or vegetable of the week that can be grown in a garden. Each class will have a mix of interesting fun facts about the featured fruit or vegetable and fun activity. The activities may include a fun game, creative story telling or craft project. Students will also learn the nutritional value of eating the featured fruit or veggie with a fun way to fix it up to add to a snack or meal. Throughout the course we will also visit gardens...
Each week a hand-out about the featured fruit or veggie will be distributed for optional printing. Specific crafting materials, like crayons or paper may be requested to the day before the class begins.
Please let the teacher know about any specific food allergies. Although a student will not be tasting with the class, there are classes where I will make it optional to have the fruit or vegetable on hand.
