Let's grow our sentences as we grow our English vocabulary. Students will practice the popular sentence writing model of starting with a simple sentence and expanding the sentence by answering the basic 5W &1H questions (who, what, when, where, why and how). Each week, we will focus on one question word that will help us make a longer sentence. Students will receive a vocabulary list, so they can expand their vocabulary. Student can use the list to pick stronger words to write better...
Students will develop the skills to write descriptive sentences that express their ideas clearly. Students will expand their vocabulary knowledge by using new word lists each week.
I have been an ESL/EFL teacher since 2005. I have taught various English classes online and in five countries (South Korea, Japan,Costa Rica, Chile, and Ecuador). I enjoy teaching communicative English skills to enhance students' confidence and ability to use English in daily conversations and on social media. I have a TEFL/ TESOL certificate, a BA in Sociology from UCLA in Los Angeles, and a MFA (nonfiction writing) from USC in Los Angeles. In the past I have taught English for GogoKids, VipKids, PalFish, SayABC, Magic Ears and Whale English.
