Learn some groovy beginner skills creating digital art using the Procreate iPad app! Follow along with my pre-recorded tutorial videos to learn the basics, master the QuickShape tool, make your own stamp brushes, and create 4 retro inspired poster projects! 💡 To start, we'll go over some basic Procreate app skills, look at some retro inspiration images, and create a Wavy Warmup project. ✍️ Then we will learn how to use the QuickShape function in Procreate to make graphic shapes and learn how to create and save our own Procreate stamp brushes. ✨ Last, you’ll use the new stamp brushes you made to create a retro inspired Lightning Bolt poster, Smiley Face poster, and Patchwork poster. ~ FREEBIES ~ In addition to over 2.5 hours of instructional Lesson Videos, you'll get some other fun freebies when you enroll in this course including: 🌟 A Procreate app cheat sheet 🌟 Retro inspiration image sheets 🌟 3 retro inspired color palettes 🌟 QuickShape practice worksheets 🌟 12 custom Procreate stamp brushes 🌟 Access to our collaborative student art gallery ~ PEER INTERACTION ~ Learners will be encouraged to post their artwork to our "Procreate Digital Art Showcase" hosted on Padlet.com! This means that there are no live class meetings. Students will learn through pre-recorded lesson videos and work through the lessons on their own time. This means that learners will be able to pause, re-watch, and create their artwork at their own pace. PROCREATE:
We will be creating digital art on the Procreate app for iPads during class. This is a third-party app that will need to be downloaded onto the learner's iPad device. You will not need to create an account to use this app. All of your Procreate data is tied to your iPad and your Apple ID.
YOUTUBE:
My lesson videos will be uploaded and shared in the Outschool classroom as a YouTube link. However, Outschool will automatically embed the link so that learners remain on the Outschool platform and don’t access the YouTube website.
PADLET:
Learners will be encouraged to post their artwork to our "Procreate Digital Art Showcase" hosted on Padlet.com! Think of it like a collaborative art gallery where students can show off their work and encourage their peers. Through frequent moderation, I will ensure it remains a safe and encouraging space. Learners can post anonymously without an account. However, I recommend that you create an account so that others know whose artwork is being posted and so that you can be notified of any post comments.

If you are brand new to the Procreate app and would like to learn some basic skills before enrolling in this course, I recommend checking out my "Intro to Procreate for Beginners" class first.

✔️ iPad: The Procreate app is currently only available on the iPad. ✔️ Up to date Procreate app: This is $12.99 in the App Store, but well worth the investment. ✔️ Apple Pencil: I HIGHLY recommend using an Apple Pencil for best results and pressure sensitivity when drawing.
