每週 1-2 小時. Following each class meeting, learners will be assigned a "magic spell" to complete before our next meeting. With a magical theme, "Grammar Glamour" summer camp focuses on having fun while learning, practicing, and reviewing English Language Arts basics, including parts of speech, sentence structure, types of sentences, and punctuation. Teaching will include lecture with slides, videos, songs, games, and other multi-media presentations. Following each class, there will be a "magic spell" to complete that reinforces the day's lesson. We will begin each meeting with learners sharing their "magical spell" homework before moving into the day's lesson. I will introduce the grammar concept we are studying that day, followed by activities and games to give learners an opportunity to practice the concept. The meeting will end with the assignment of the next magic spell.
學習目標
The learning goal of this summer camp is for learners to learn, review, and grow more confident in basic English Language Arts grammar concepts.

I have a master of arts degree in American history, and bachelor of arts degrees in political science, English, and communications with a journalism emphasis. I am lead teacher at The Foster Woods Folk School, which focuses on humanities education within an ecosocial justice framework aimed at celebrating and improving our connections as a global community of humans and non-humans living on Planet Earth. In this role, I work with learners of all ages with a primary focus of working with learners in grades three through 12. I was the director of a social justice center for three years during which time I routinely taught about and facilitated conversations about historical and current political events for both teen and adults participants. Before that, I was a newspaper editor and reporter for 15 years. I have been teaching history, social studies, and English Language Arts classes for several years.
