This class is for ALL students who want to be strong writers/English students or who want to thoroughly understand language to help with learning a second language! It is an ongoing, summer-long class to provide students with consistent exposure and practice, so you can start or stop at any time but students are encouraged to complete the cycle! This class is a GREAT refresher for students in middle or high school or would be a great preview for students moving towards a higher-level grammar/ELA course next fall!  This course will cover nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, clauses, prepositions and conjunctions. It's


Week of July 18 - nouns and pronouns
Week of July 25 - verbs
Week of August 1 - subjects/direct objects
Week of August 8 - adjectives
Week of August 15 - adverbs
Week of August 22 - prepositions
Week of August 29 - conjunctions

Each week, the first 30 minutes will be direct instruction with a chance for students to take notes and thoroughly understand the target concept. The last 15 minutes of class will provide practice and students will work individually or together in small break-out rooms to practice the concepts. This class will also help students with foreign language if they'll be entering a second language class in the new school year!
