The Grade 1-2 Grammar, Reading, Phonics, Reading Comprehension and more. All learners are welcome to this engaging and fun class to increase student confidence and help build a love of reading in students. To begin, a diagnostic assessment will occur during the first session to determine the best starting place for each learner. Once the assessment is completed, I will use my years of experience in the classroom and online to develop a customized program that accelerates learning by working within your learner's proximal zone of development. There are five (5) topics covered for each level. 1. phonological awareness (sounds) 2. phonics (symbols) 3. vocabulary (words) 4. fluency (voice) 5. comprehension (understanding) They are covered in various fun and interactive ways, like games and songs that are differentiated based on the learner's interests, abilities, and preferred learning style.
