Is The Mandalorian (Mando) one of your favorite heroes? In this class, we will learn all about the character Din Djarin's life journey and how his care of The Child (Grogu) influenced his path in the Star Wars Universe. We will also learn about the character traits that make Mando a hero. What would have happened if he would have never met Grogu? We will also explore the possible outcomes if had Mando had never been born. After learners have gone through Mando's full background and history...
- Learners will learn about and analyze a favorite character in the Star Wars Universe. Learners will learn what it means to be a hero and the character traits that make a hero. Learners will use critical thinking skills to answer discussion questions on a variety of "What If" scenarios. Learners will learn to have a friendly and respectful discussion with their peers.
I have been teaching for 19 years in elementary education. Not only do I teach character traits, one of the main skills I teach in Reading and English is critical thinking, which is to think more deeply into and beyond the stories or subjects. I'm also very knowledgeable as a Star Wars fanatic and I am absolutely involved in the saga.
There are some dark moments in Mando's story in The Star Wars Universe and and some tragedies in his life. The themes of good and evil and some mild sci-fi violence run throughout The Mandalorian series and The Star Wars Universe.
