In this class, students will be taught how to blend the 26 letter sounds to begin reading basis CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words, along with some simple sight words. In this level A class, we will only focus on the consonant and short vowel sounds. Students will also strengthen their listening and speaking skills through phonemic awareness activities that aim to enhance their knowledge of how sounds work together. This class is for students who have already mastered the 26 basic letter...
- The student will be able to: 1. Blend basis CVC words and recognize some sight words 2. Strengthen their phonemic awareness skills.
I have taught children how to read for the past 12 years. Over this time, I have improved my methods to be age-appropriate and structured in a way that will produce strong readers due to their strong foundation in phonemic and phonological awareness.

頻率: 可根據要求提供細節: Assessments are given informally in class and simply involve me taking note of the blends your child has mastered. You will also be provided with a record sheet to document the blends your child has mastered and the blends they still need extra practice with.
Learners should already know their 26 letter sounds to maximize their learning potential in this class. If your learner has not mastered their letter sounds, I recommend signing them up for my Getting Ready to Read: Level P course first.
Flashcards and activity sheets will be provided weekly for you to print and have ready for class.
