In this class, the learner will learn the difference between a gerund and a verb using the continuous (progressive) tense. I will cover the usage of gerunds and the learner will have the opportunity to spot gerunds in a short paragraph. The learner will then learn about infinitives and bare infinitives. The learner will have the opportunity to identify infinitives and bare infinitives in a short paragraph. The class is taught as a relaxed conversation between myself and the learner(s). The learner can ask me questions at any point during the class and discuss with other learners any ideas or questions they may have. No previous knowledge is required before the class. I will go through what a verb and a subject are at the start of the class and give examples before we get into the meat of the class.

Identify gerunds.
Know the difference between gerunds and verbs in the continuous/progressive tense.
Identify infinitives.
Identify bare infinitives.
Know how to use infinitives and bare infinitives.
