德文初學者夏令營二：一起去旅行吧！

Hallo und Guten Tag!

This class is for learners who have some prior knowledge of German. This could mean that they have completed my German for Beginners High School Camp (Introduction), that they have participated in my German for Highschool Ongoing class, or any other German beginner's class or Duolingo experience, for example. 

In this German High School Camp, the learners will continue to enhance their vocabulary and expressions. The focus is now on making suggestions and how to accept or decline them, which will enable them to communicate in German on a higher level and to plan trips. In addition, making suggestions and how to react in German is a very important skill for the speaking part of the official German language tests such as the Goethe Zertifikat. 

Daily breakup of the lessons taught in this class:

Day 1:
- revision: present yourself, numbers, hobbies and activities
- Verbs: sein und haben
- location: Where is Berlin?

Day 2:
- talking about the calendar, months, days
- planning a trip: research regions and locations
- making suggestions

Day 3:
- talking about cities in German
- Where can you do what? (sightseeing, sports, etc)

Day 4:
Let's go on a trip to Germany!
- talking about travel
- planning a trip to Germany
- accepting/declining suggestions

Day 5
- talking about travel and preferences
- writing a postcard

Roundup and certificates

This class is especially interesting for High School students who are planning to study in Germany at some point. Universities in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are popular thanks to their expertise, so many students from all over the world choose  to study in German-speaking countries. German universities often offer excellent Master Studies for a lower price than other universities. 

Reasons to learn German in this beginners' camp:
- use your summer to explore the German language for fun
- to get a head start at Uni
- the teacher is very experienced in preparing international students for University in Germany (High School students)
- the teacher prepares international students (age 17+) for German language tests, such as TestDaf and Goethe Zertifikat

In this course, the teacher will speak as much German as possible, but she is also specialized in explaining grammar in English and French if needed.
