每週 1 小時. For the first six weeks I hill be handing out a reading and some question that I would like answered and sent back to guide our discussion. The goal is for all students to understand the material presented and be able to use it in the cat lab.

The assessment will be assigned to all students as a way to test if they have an understanding of the reading, clear up any misconceptions, and be able to move ahead.

This is advanced genetics.  This is intended to be part of a series.  While you do not need to take the series from me you will need an idea of the material in these other classes.  It is just harder to just slide into it half way through.  A lot of people might think you just jump to a higher classes it will be easier.  When the classes get harder the previous learning is a necessary step to later learning.  Vocabulary, background, and previous steps are necessary.
- The first class is Biology and all about several scientific processes like diffusion, active transport, then move on to cells and cellular organelles.  
- The second class is Genetics I, we will be going over cell growth, cell cycle, cancer, basic meiosis, standard mendelliam genetic, crosses, and punnett squares.
- The third class is Genetics II, we will be going over cellular protein manufacturing, transcription, translation, genetic change, and when heredity follows different rules.

All previous learning will come quickly as its ment to be a review and act as a spring board to new topics and new learning.  

We will look at your (theoretically because most people do not have access to an electron microscope) DNA, how that DNA makes you, when it goes wrong and when it follows completely different rules like the heterozygous has a unpredicted  phenotype.  We will finish with an in depth case study of Feline domesticus (house cats).  While the lessons applies to all organisms I have extensive handouts that detail the genotypes and phenotypes of house cats.

I will be talking about sex as as noun. It is a thing that offers genetic variation and the blending of two genomes (parents). This should answers why children are not genetic clones of one parent. Sex as a verb or an act will not be covered in this class.
先決條件
This is not their first science course. They will need 1) an understanding of what is DNA and a Ribosome is/stands for and basically what it does. 2) an understanding of what a Punnette square is and what it is for.

I am a science technology and math teacher.  I have taught for years at the middle and high school level.  I have done one-on-one tutoring, and I am ready with lots of home experiments, of course the home experiment "materials" are in your kitchen.  Of course the home stuff is more middle school level.   At higher level most people do not have that kind of equipment and supplies at home.
