Hello! Welcome to fundamentals of tax. In this class we will pick a different tax topic every week and learn about what it is. We will cover topics such as tax on earnings, tax  on property, tax on capital gains, tax on inheritance, tax on sales, tax on businesses, and so much more! This class does not aim to be technical with calculations, but rather seeks to give students an understanding of the different types of taxes in the economy. 

This class will focus predominantly on taxes in the United States. However, the concepts are applicable for all tax jurisdictions. 

This class will be interactive, opening the floor to discussion and questions from students. Current issues will be discussed and we will compare the United States to other countries around the world.
