Learning another language is a fantastic advantage for the academic future of your child. As more and more Spanish is spoken in the U.S. and around the world, no wonder so many people find it an important skill to have. In this class, your child will learn everything they need to have basic conversations in Spanish. 🤓 Bienvenidos a nuestra clase (Welcome to our class) 🌟 This Spanish language class series is taught by a native Spanish speaker. This class is for students who have absolutely no knowledge of the Spanish language. Students will learn the basics and at least 100 Spanish vocabulary words. 💻 Each week, a new lesson will be released which will include: -A prerecorded video lesson by the teacher. -A project assignment which may include a short video, a drawing, or a photo collage (all due on different weeks) -A list with 10 new vocabulary words and an interactive online vocabulary assignment. -A short (5 question) electronic worksheet assessment. For detailed syllabus information, please look under syllabus. Note: Students will be required to send in videos for some of the assignments. It is not required to record their faces, only their voices.

At the end of the six week series, students will be able to:
-Introduce themselves and their family members and friends in Spanish.
-Learn basic phrases needed when traveling
-Learn at least 30 new vocabulary words in Spanish
-Identify colors by their Spanish names.
-Say the name of different items found around the home and at school in Spanish.

I am certified teacher and a native Spanish speaker born in Venezuela. I currently live in Miami, FL with my husband and my three children. All my children (ages 9, 12, and 16) are fluent in Spanish, French, and English. My oldest has taken four years of Latin is in his first year of Japanese. My two youngest are currently taking French classes virtually, on Outschool and at their "brick and mortar" school.
