In this fun, interactive class learners will practice reading words with long vowel sounds: A, E, I, O, U. We will learn the "bossy E" symbol & that "bossy E" makes the vowel say its name, making the long vowel sound. Learners who join this class should be able to read CVC words such as: cap, hop, pin. I will use Slides and pictures to teach the skill. Then we will log on to a Nearpod that we will do together. At the end of class, we will play a CVCe match game. Examples of words we will...

Students will be working on a site called Nearpod. The link will be put in the Zoom chat and learners will be asked to type their name. Learners do not need an account. Learners will have to click an answer and draw a line using their mouse or computer pen. For Learners who struggle with logging on I will be able to share my screen so everyone can participate.
