Is your learner just beginning to read? If so, they will soon need to know “sight words”, or words they should know just by looking, without making the sounds of each letter to figure it out. This ongoing class will work on a different set of five sight words in the Dolch Pre-Primer list each week. Learners will improve their recognition and spelling of common sight words.
Paper and writing instrument (pencil, crayon, marker) or a dry erase board and marker are requested but not required. It is also helpful if learners know how to annotate on screen in Zoom or have a parent available nearby during class to assist.
