In this thirty minute weekly lesson, we will create some watercolour paintings based on a different theme each week. 
We will try some fun painting techniques for beginners, we will play with some simple colour techniques and we will create our own original masterpieces in a variety of themes. The different themes we will explore will include portraits, nature, animals, cartoons, fashion and more! This short class is great for beginners who would like to try some fun and easy watercolour art activities in a fun and friendly classroom. This class is 100% ESL friendly and I encourage English language learners to join. 


1. Week of June 3rd. Theme: Watercolur play. We will explore a variety of watercolour techniques including wet in wet, wet on dry, colour mixing and more.
2. Week of June 10th. Wash technique. We will create a simple painting using the wash technique.
3. Week of June 17th. wet in wet painting exploration. We will create a vibrant painting using the wet in wet painting technique. The wet in wet technique is excellent for blending colours and creating bold and vibrant masterpieces.
3. Week of June 24th. Wet on dry technique. We will create an original masterpiece using the wet on dry technique to achieve detail and bold colour 
4. Week of July 1st. Explore colour. We will explore the ways that we can get the most out of our colours by mixing and layering. 
5. Week of July 8th. Colour under the sea. We will explore cool colours while creating an ocean themed masterpiece. 
6. Week of July 15th. We will explore warm colours by creating a nature themed masterpiece. 
7. Week of July 22nd. Crayon and watercolour. We will create an original mixed media painting using crayon and watercolour.
8. Week of 29th. Nature painting. We will use our watercolours to create a beautiful flower painting. 
9. Week of August 5th. Funky Fruit. We will explore shadows and composition with a fun fruit painting. 
10. Week of August 12th. Portrait. We will create a fun portrait using watercolour.
11. Week of August 19th. Pen and watercolour. We will explore creating detail in our paintings with black pen and watercolour. 
12. Week of August 26th. Abstract painting. We will stretch our imaginations to create a unique and colourful abstract watercolour.
13. Week of September 2nd. Paint a short story. We will create a simple short story using our original watercolour illustrations. 
14. Week of September 9th. Creating shadows with colour. We will explore techniques to use colour to create dramatic shadows. 
15. Week of September 16th. Animal painting. We will create a cute animal painting with watercolours.
16. Week of September 23rd. Mandalas. We will use colour and detail to create a beautiful and unique mandala. 
17. Week of September 30th. Cartoon watercolour. We will create a cute and colourful cartoon character using our watercolours. 
18. Week of October 7th. Fashion. We will create a beautiful fashion illustration using our watercolours and pens.
