自閉症學生趣味交友俱樂部

This social club offers a unique, student-led experience for autistic students to connect with peers, share interests and develop communication skills. I will encourage and lead discussion topics whenever necessary. 

I am able to recognise students needs. I make all students feel safe to communicate and feel included in my class and am known for my inclusiveness 

I create a classroom where students feel safe, included, and empowered to communicate. 

Weekly class topics cannot be planned due to the student led nature of the class. Conversation topics could include-
* Favorite things: Movies, books, music, video games, animals, hobbies, foods, colors, etc. (Keep it light and positive.)
 * "Would you rather...?" questions:  Silly and thought-provoking choices can spark fun debates.
 * Show and Tell:  Students can share a favorite item or talk about something they're passionate about.

Miss Louise will-
* Keep it structured:  I will prompt discussion topics when necessary. 
 * Encourage participation but won't force it:  Some students might be more comfortable listening.
 * Be mindful of time:  Ensure everyone gets a chance to speak if they want to.
 * Promote active listening:  Encourage students to pay attention to what others are saying.
 * Create a safe and respectful environment:  No judgment, teasing, or interrupting.
 * Use visuals and multimedia:  Images and videos  can make conversations more engaging.
 * Connect topics to student interests:  Tailor the conversation to what the students are passionate about.
 * Be patient:  Social skills development takes time.  
Important Note:  As this is a student-led group I empower the students to suggest and choose conversation topics.  Miss Louise will guide and support students, ensuring everyone feels included and respected.
