Leaners are introduced to basic sentence diagramming skills in this four-week flex class. Learning sentence diagramming allows a student to own a process that helps them see how the parts of speech fit together. This is a very helpful tool for those who are visual learners. Learners in this class will receive two weekly mini-diagramming lessons (see schedule below), weekly diagramming challenges, weekly knowledge checks, and weekly class discussion threads. Class cumulates with a Flex Class Diagram Gallery Walk Challenge Sentence- We will show off our group diagramming expertise! In this flexible schedule course (No Live Meetings), your Outschooler will master: ✔Diagram both basic and semi-complex sentences ✔Diagram compound subjects and verbs ✔Diagram adjectives and adverbs ✔Diagram direct objects ✔Diagram predicate adjectives, and predicate Nouns Week One: Lesson 1: Simple subject and predicate Lesson 2: Diagramming compound subject and predicates Week Two: Lesson 3: Introduction to Adjectives Lesson 4: Introduction to Direct Objects Week Three Lesson 5: Introduction to Adverbs Lesson 6: Mastering Adverbs Week Four Lesson 7: Introduction to Predicate Adjectives Lesson 8: Introduction to Predicate Nouns Flex Class Diagram Gallery Walk Challenge Sentence- We will show off our group diagramming expertise! This sentence diagramming class is full of engagement! Outschoolers will: •Participate in weekly knowledge Check diagrams •Complete interactive Quizzes to extend learning knowledge •Collaborate in Group Diagramming Exercises* •Post weekly completed diagrams (Videos, PDF, or Photo) •Join in the class discussion board to review diagramming, post our knowledge and chat with others*

In this class, your student will master basic diagramming skills.
Why take on the challenge of sentence diagramming? It allows students to clarify their thinking, fix their sentences, and put grammar to use in a different way. Putting all of the words of a sentence on a diagram enables learners to identify the logical connections between different parts of the sentence. From my own personal teaching experience, learning diagram sentences has allowed an average grammar student to become an exceptional grammar student.

This class uses Google Suite products. These are approved Outschool External Resources, no account creation is required to use these external tools. This class uses Youtube videos that are embedded in the Outschool classroom page, preventing students from accessing these videos. This class follows all COPPA policies.
