**You are welcome to enroll at any time! Join us!** If you have a Second Grader that needs a boost, they are welcome with us! We will study the second half of first-grade English language arts. In reading, this includes story structure, finding key details, asking and answering questions, inferencing, and using context clues. In writing this includes complete sentences, parts of speech, punctuation, expressing an opinion, and informational writing. At this stage, phonics plays a strong role in reading and each student should also enroll in one 1:1 session per week in addition to this course. Our class will begin with a discussion, modeling from me, group work, and independent work. We will also play learning games, watch videos usually created by myself, and read books. Some of these books will be online.
