In this engaging and interactive course, kids will get a clear and easy-to-understand overview of anxiety. They'll learn what happens in their brain and body when they feel anxious, and how to use those signals as clues to practice coping skills and self-care. They’ll also explore how to challenge self-defeating thoughts, turn negative thinking into positive, and develop mindfulness and self-compassion.

This course empowers kids to use their strengths to manage worries, embrace a growth mindset, and overcome fear of failure. They will develop emotional awareness, practice effective coping techniques, and learn proven strategies to build resilience and confidence. The course is filled with valuable educational content about understanding worry and anxiety, includes practical downloadable worksheets to apply what they learn to their own experiences, and features relaxation videos to support their journey.

The essential confidence boosting and anxiety reducing skills learned in this course help kids of all ages thrive—at home, in school, and throughout their lives—by empowering them to tackle challenges with strength, positivity, and self-assurance.

Getting to Know Your Worries is Empowering!
 In this lesson, kids will learn what worry and anxiety are, the science behind anxiety and why it happens, reasons kids worry, and how worrisome thoughts impact their body and emotions. 

Plus, kids will discover how to use their signs of worry as clues and understand the difference between helpful worries that keep them safe and unhelpful worries that hold them back. 

Best of all, they'll learn how to identify and use their personal strengths to manage their worries!

Challenging Your Worries
 In this lesson, kids will explore and practice how to recognize and challenge their worries. They'll learn that thoughts aren’t always facts and will learn how to retrain their brains to think more positively and realistically. 

They'll also practice listening to their inner voice to see if it acts as a critical inner voice bringing them down or a strong, supportive voice lifting them up. 

Kids will also explore how to respond to their inner critics and practice speaking kindly to themselves!

Powerful New Ways of Thinking
 In this lesson, kids will learn how to identify unhelpful thoughts and spot mental traps. They'll discover how to problem-solve and let go of perfectionism. 

They will explore the thought-feeling-action triangle - how their thoughts influence their feelings and how their feelings influence their actions. They'll discover how to reframe negative thoughts and how to creates positive and empowering ones.

Plus, they'll explore the amazing power of the Growth Mindset and how it can help them grow!

Emotional Awareness : Mindfulness is a Super Power!
 In this lesson, kids will reflect on how worry impacts their emotional and physical reactions. They'll explore the connection between worry and emotions, understand why they feel certain ways, and understand how emotions manifest in the body. 

They'll also discover how to develop self-awareness to learn from emotions, cope with stress, and practice gratitude. 

Kids will practice proven mindfulness and relaxation strategies to help them feel more joyful, peaceful and at ease!

As a licensed mental health therapist and behavior specialist, practicing in the state of PA, I know how children and teens experience stress and challenges as they grow.

Over the past 15 years, I have provided therapy, self-esteem, and social skills classes for youth ages 5-21 in private practice, community, and school settings. I have had the privilege of helping many kids overcome obstacles and develop confidence and healthy self-esteem.

I empower children to build on their unique strengths and equip them with the tools they need to develop important social-emotional skills to overcome life’s stressors and grow happy and healthy.

In addition to my counseling experience, I am a mom of four and a children’s book author with both self-published and traditionally published works focusing on mental health, social skills, self-esteem, and related topics. I bring both personal and professional experience to my work, blending practical tools with an empathetic understanding of children’s needs.
