I will be teaching in French a little story of 4 lines for children from 7 to 9 years old. I will be mostly speaking in English and teaching in French. (Class for beginners no experience required). The children will have a sheet to follow and color the objet of the story. They will read one at a time if they are able, otherwise I will read the sentence for them. I'm going to ask them if they understand the meaning of the sentence that we just learned. We are going to repeat together the sentences in French to pronounce them correctly. The children will color the picture which is mentioned in the story. Ex: My brown cat. "Mon chat brun". Then the children will cut out the images to place them in order according to the story we have just read. Then we will discuss in French about the story, I will ask them if they have a cat a dog, what's his name... I will interact with 6 learners so that everyone can participate. I will do a different story every week, using the same process. (Reading, pronouncing the new words correctly, asking questions...) I teach French with the Canva platform, so it's very interactive and engaging so the kids can participate.
