Learners will gain a comprehensive knowledge of the French language in a highly interactive setting.  We will cover items that would be covered in a beginner, semester French I level course of study.

My teaching style is to combine visual aids and hands on activities to attend to the different learning abilities of all those in the class.
 ** Please note, a portion of our 1st class will be getting to know about your individual learners and their learning style. I model my lessons to try and accommodate every style in my classes.**

Items will build from week to week and we will begin each class answering questions in French from the week before. By the end of the course, learners will be speaking, reading and writing basic French and be able to share details about themselves in French.

Weeks 1 & 2: Greetings -Hello! What’s your name?  -Good Bye- How are you?
              The Alphabet. Students will pronounce and learn the French alphabet.
Week 3: Numbers & Colors - How old are you?  Lesson and Activity
Week 4:  Kahoot Review of Greetings/Numbers & Colors
               My Family Lesson  - Vocabulary and Activities
Week 5:  Animals & Pets - All About Me Activity
Week 6: Months and Days of the Year - Lesson and Activity
Week 7: Seasons & Weather - Vocabulary and Activities
Week 8: My body and clothes - Vocabulary and Activities
Week 9: Students will choose and create a class project based on learned lessons.
Week 10: Review and Kahoot Game

Learners do not require any previous language experience. Students will have the opportunity to work on worksheets during class and outside of class time for maximum retention.

This is an inclusive class in which students of all abilities are welcome. If a student is unable to communicate verbally they are welcome to use the chat. If your student has any other needs that require accommodations please let me know and we will work develop a way for your learner to participate in a way that they are able.

 A letter grade can be provided, by request, at the end of the semester based on participation and completion of work.
