This course is structured as narrated video lesson with eerie music, notes on the reading, and reflection questions. Learners practice narrative analysis through written reflections.

I believe in an interactive and engaging learning environment. Throughout the course, learners will have the opportunity to reflect on the Gothic elements in the novels. Thematic video and engaging audio enhance the learning experience. Learners will receive individualized feedback on their assigned lesson reflections.

課 1:
FRANKENSTEIN - Part 1 (Chapters 1-6)
Part 1 of our exploration of *Frankenstein* by Mary Shelley. In this Gothic masterpiece, Shelley challenges us to think deeply about the limits of human ambition, the consequences of creation, and the role of isolation in shaping our identity. Today, we’ll begin our analysis of the first six chapters, where the foundations of these themes are laid through the character of Victor Frankenstein and the early stages of his life.

課 2:
FRANKENSTEIN -Part 2 (Chapters 7 - 12)
Part 2 of our journey through *Frankenstein*. These chapters mark a pivotal shift in the novel, as Victor’s creation—the monster—begins his own journey, and the consequences of Victor’s decisions start to unfold. As we dive deeper into the text, we encounter new Gothic elements: murder, injustice, and, above all, the tragic consequences of abandonment.

課 3:
FRANKENSTEIN -Part 3 (Chapters 13 - 18)
Part 3 of our exploration of *Frankenstein*. In these chapters, we witness the monster’s growing awareness of his isolation and the increasing tension between creator and creation. The themes of responsibility, loneliness, and the ethical dilemmas surrounding scientific discovery deepen as Shelley pushes both Victor and the monster toward an inevitable confrontation.

課 4:
FRANKENSTEIN - Part 4 (Chapters 19 - 24)
Part 4 of our journey through *Frankenstein*. As we approach the climax of the novel, Victor is faced with the consequences of his decisions, and the tension between creator and creation reaches its breaking point. In these chapters, Mary Shelley brings together the themes of revenge, isolation, and the destructive power of unchecked ambition. Victor’s moral dilemmas intensify as he wrestles with his responsibility as a creator.

父母的引導和規範
Parents should be aware that the classic Gothic novel, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, contains themes of violence, death, and ethical dilemmas around scientific experimentation. Common Sense Media suggests it is best suited for readers aged 14 & up. https://www.commonsensemedia.org/book-reviews/frankenstein
