⭐In this 8-week course, students will learn how to simplify fractions, add and subtract fractions with different denominators, and multiply and divide fractions!⭐ 👉🏼This class is perfect for the learner who is looking to gain confidence in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions. We’ll make learning about fractions engaging, upbeat and encouraging! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- C L A S S B R E A K D O W N : ➕Week 1: Simplifying Fractions Students will learn how to simplify fractions.. ➕Week 2: Adding Fractions Students will learn how to add fractions with both like and different denominators, with the majority of class time spent on different denominators. ➕Week 3: Subtracting Fractions Students will learn how to subtract fractions with both like and different denominators, with the majority of class time spent on different denominators. ➕Week 4: Adding and Subtracting Fractions Students will practice and show their understanding of adding and subtracting fractions. ➕Week 5: Multiplying Fractions Students will learn how to multiply fractions. ➕Week 6: Dividing Fractions Students will learn how to divide fractions. ➕Week 7: Multiplying and Dividing Fractions Students will practice and show their understanding of multiplying and dividing fractions. ➕Week 8: Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying, and Dividing Fractions Students will show their understanding of the 4 operations with fractions through playing a fun game! C L A S S R O O M S T R U C T U R E : ✏️Community Building: Introductions & Question of the Day ✏️Class Introduction: Discuss our learning target of the day and class expectations ✏️Instruction: I do, We do, You do - I will introduce and model the skill, we will practice as a class, and finally, students will practice independently. ✏️Class Closing: Class reflection on our learning target and individual reflection on effort 🔴P L E A S E N O T E 🔴 : 🔻Learners should have some background knowledge of fractions as well as know their multiplication and division facts. 🔻This class will utilize the chat feature in Zoom in order for learners to be able to privately send me their answers. 🔻I also offer a very similar self paced class.
