Welcome to "Adding and Subtracting with Fractions." In this one-time class, students will be introduced and learn how to add and subtract fractions with both common denominators and uncommon denominators. This class will be very structured as we will be covering a lot of information. I will encourage questions and conversations as students work through problems together. I love for students to still have fun while learning. Learning in a relaxed environment promotes a higher level of comprehension and understanding. We will begin class with a meet and greet. I will then have a quick question and answer to make sure students have a basic understanding of fractions. We will then move into the lesson. Students will need to bring a pencil and paper to class. **Students need to have a basic understanding of fractions. They will need to know and understand simple math: adding, subtracting, and multiplying.
