Learners will need their own violin and bow in good working condition in the correct size (if between sizes, it is best to go with the smaller size), rosin, a shoulder rest or foam pad (optional but highly recommended), tuner (free apps will work for this!), and assigned music (to be determined in lessons). 
If your learner does not already have an instrument, please feel free to contact me - I am more than happy to provide information about finding a good quality violin for your learner!
The student or an adult should tune the violin before class to help maximize our class time. If you have never tuned a violin before, I am able to provide a video in the classroom to help you get started and am happy to provide some guidance during the first few minutes of each class.
