How do animals get the energy they need to survive? Let’s find out! In this one-time food class about food chains and food webs, we will learn how energy moves through an ecosystem. We will discuss the trophic levels that make up basic food chains and how food chains frequently overlap within an ecosystem. Learners will understand what trophic levels are and how they compose a food chain. Learners will become familiar with food webs and how they more accurately describe how energy moves throughout an environment. Learners will be able to explain how energy and nutrients re-enters the environment.
