This course will follow up the Flute 101 series. Students should be comfortable with playing most of their flat and sharp scales in at least a one octave format. Students would benefit from this class i they have played from between 1 1/2 to two years. This class will focus on scales and etudes for F Major, G Major, B-flat Major, D Major, E-flat Major, A Major and C Major. The scale pages also contain chunking exercises, vibrato exercises, preludes and etudes. Week 1 - Lesson 1 & 2 (p....
Students will do in depth work on F Major, G Major and B-flat Major scales, arpeggios and etudes. Scale work will increase the students ability to play fast passages with ease and confidence. Scales and arpeggios dominate many pieces (for example, the Mozart Flute Concertos) and the student who is able to play the scales will find learning music so much easier.
