Do you have a learner that loves to explore and try new things? Come join us for four, fun weeks of experiments! You and your scientist have an entire week to test each experiment at a time that works best for you!!! Each week, the young scientists will be given an experiment to complete at home. There will be discussions between other learners and the teacher during the four weeks of experiments. Teacher-led Instruction: The scientists will receive the supply lists and instructions weekly by a pre-recorded mini lesson. The steps will be given for the scientists to follow and with extra steps if they want to further their experiments. After each video, there will be discussions between learners and the teacher. Student-led Instruction: The scientists will be asked to share their predictions on the discussion page after each pre-recorded mini lesson. This gives the scientists an opportunity to talk to each other, see what others think will happen, and share what actually happens by the end of the week. Scientists will complete the experiment at home and choose if they want to use the extra steps the teacher provided. The scientists can create a short video with the final product and explain what happened in their experiments. You can also share a picture of your scientist in action. Week 1: Layers of Liquids Week 2: Floating Egg Week 3: Water Fireworks Week 4: Milk Art Most of the supplies are things you probably already have in your kitchen. I will send out supply lists a week before the experiment is due. Week one supplies can be found in the learner supply list below.

Hello! Welcome to my learning page! I am so glad you found it and are here!
My name is Mrs. Makenna! I love all things math, phonics, reading and sensory play. I even like some science and geography. I taught in the classroom before I started moving around the country with my husband’s job. We love to travel and explore new places. I have been all over the United States and Central America.
My passion is working with children, and I have missed being in the classroom. However, online teaching has been just as fun! I have had the pleasure of working with some learners for several years and have seen so much growth in them. I can’t wait to watch your learner(s) grow, too.
