I will post up a classroom post every week to see what everyone has made for their comic so far. Everyone that replies with what they've made will get feedback from me about what they have for their comic so far! Learners are also able to ask for constructive criticism about their comics as well - I will be more than happy to give them advice on what to improve on in their comics!我們無法翻譯此文,請刷新頁面並再試一次。
課堂經歷
--THIS IS A FLEX CLASS. There will NOT be any live meetings for this course!-- In this four week course, students will learn the basics of creating their own comic. WEEK ONE: In the first week, we will start developing the main characters for the comic. We will also talk about narrative arcs: what goes into a story? We will start plotting the story for our comics and writing the script as well. In this week, learners will be expected to post about their characters and the plot of their comic in the classroom. They are also expected to give feedback on at least two other students' characters and plots, saying what they think about their peers' comic ideas. I will also give feedback to learners that post their characters and their comic's plot as well! WEEK TWO: In the second week, we will get started with writing the comic, first by doing thumbnail sketches of our comic. Thumbnail sketches are used to plan out what the comic will look like using quick sketches. After completing the thumbnail sketches, we will then start drawing the comic itself. We will go over what exactly is on a comic page and talk about comic page terminology. In this week, students are expected to upload AT LEAST one photo of their comic sketched out so far. Learners are also expected to give feedback on at least two other students' comic sketches so far, saying what they think about their peers' work so far. I will also give feedback to learners that post their comic sketches as well! WEEK THREE: In the third week, we will continue to draw our comic. We will also start talking about how to ink comics as well, in order for them to be more polished. We will also present our progress with our comics so far in order to get feedback and advice on what to do next. In this week, students are expected to upload AT LEAST one photo of one of their comic pages completely inked in. Learners are also expected to give feedback on at least two other students' inked comic pages so far, saying what they think about their peers' work so far. I will also give feedback to learners that post their inked comic pages as well! WEEK FOUR: In the final week, we will finish our comic and work on the cover page for our comics. We will also present our final comics to each other! In this week, students are expected to upload one photo of the cover page for their comic, completely finished. Learners are also expected to give feedback on at least two other students' cover pages, saying what they think about their peers' work. I will also give feedback to learners that post their cover pages as well! It is up to the student if they want to draw their comic using pencils and paper or if they want to draw their comic on the computer or a tablet.

教師專業知識和證書
For as long as I was able to hold onto a pencil, I have been drawing my own comics in one way or another. I drew my own comic book series when I was 12 years old! Additionally, I have taught classes on how to create your own comics while student teaching. I am extremely passionate about comics and how you can tell a story with the combination of words and pictures!
