課堂經歷

Welcome to Fit & Fun: Building Healthy Habits for Life! This asynchronous, self-paced course is designed for middle school students who want to learn about the importance of fitness, healthy eating, and goal-setting—all from the comfort of their own home. 

In this course, students will explore various key topics related to physical well-being. They will learn why exercise is essential for overall health, how to set SMART goals to stay on track, and gain practical tips on strength training, cardio, and flexibility. Additionally, students will dive into the basics of nutrition, discovering the role of proteins, carbs, fats, and micronutrients in maintaining a healthy body. Throughout the course, students will also learn how to stay motivated and make fitness fun.

Each week, students will engage with pre-recorded video lessons that introduce the key concepts of the module, such as strength exercises for the upper body, lower body, and core, cardio activities like dancing and jogging, and simple stretches for flexibility. They will also explore how to make healthy eating choices that support an active lifestyle.


By the end of Fit & Fun: Building Healthy Habits for Life, students will have a strong understanding of fitness and nutrition and the tools to maintain a healthy lifestyle. They will leave the course with the knowledge to create their own fitness routines and continue setting goals to improve their physical and mental well-being for years to come.

Fitness Basics & Goal Setting
 In this lesson, students will discover why fitness is essential for a healthy body and mind. They’ll also learn how to set SMART goals—goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound—to make fitness both fun and achievable. By the end of the lesson, students will have a clear understanding of how exercise supports overall well-being and how to create goals they can stick to!

Strength Building – Bodyweight Fun
 In this lesson, students will learn the importance of strong muscles for overall health and daily activities. They’ll explore simple yet effective bodyweight exercises for the upper body, lower body, and core, all without needing any equipment. With a focus on safe and correct form, students will gain confidence in building strength in a fun and accessible way!

Get Your Heart Pumping – Cardio Fun
 In this lesson, students will discover what cardio exercise is and why it’s essential for a healthy heart and body. They’ll explore fun and engaging ways to get their heart rates up, including activities like dancing, jogging, and jump rope. By the end, students will understand how cardio keeps them energized and strong while having a great time!

Stretching & Flexibility – Move Like a Cat!
 In this lesson, students will learn why flexibility is key to keeping their bodies happy, relaxed, and injury-free. They’ll explore safe stretching techniques for different muscle groups, improving their range of motion and overall comfort. By the end, students will feel more flexible, refreshed, and ready to move with ease—just like a cat!

父母的引導和規範
The material in this class will cover basic nutrition information such as macronutrients and micronutrients. This class will NOT give specific nutrition advice or diet prescriptions to any students. This class will discuss the importance of all three of all three of the macronutrients, and their part in nutrition for the average healthy individual.
