This 1 week camp style course is based off my popular "First Grade Math Meeting." We will meet 5 days/week to practice various math skills. Class format: 1. The first part of the class will be repetitive in order to build number sense and routine. It may include calendar, number of the day, story problems, counting on a hundred’s chart, and mental math. 2. We will then focus on a particular math skill for the day. Math skills we will work on are addition, subtraction, story problems, counting, graphing, shapes, measurement, number sense, time, coins, and more! Day 1- Addition Day 2-Subtraction Day 3- Story problems Day 4- Measurement Day 5 - Time 3. Wrap Up/Closing Perfect review for your 1st grader before 2nd grade or a preview for a rising 1st grader! This class is geared toward 1st grade concepts, but I think learners from ages 5-7 may benefit. Parents, you know your learner best! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Class policies: -Students will be asked to be on mute unless it is their turn to talk in order to cut down on distracting background noise. -Grown ups are welcome to be nearby to assist, but please stay off screen.

Printout will be posted to the classroom before each class. Some sessions may require additional supplies such as common household objects, crayons, pencils, or scissors. **For sessions that require scissors, please supervise and assist if necessary.

Hi friends! I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Applied Learning and Development. I am certified to teach Early Childhood-Grade 6 Generalist/ESL. I have experience teaching PreK, 1st grade, and 4th grade students. I have taught in both public schools and in an IB PYP setting.
My classes on Outschool are geared toward younger learners and through experience, I have learned that this age range is my favorite! While teaching on Outschool, I've discovered that a smaller group is more beneficial to younger learners. You'll find that my classes are smaller in size, so I can focus on the learners in my classroom. I strive for my classes to be engaging, interactive, and fun!
In my spare time, I like to bake and spend time with my family. I love to include my two daughters in baking and crafting projects. 評論
