I will use a running record to determine your child's reading levels. If interested, we can talk about guided reading sessions after this running record session. This means you will know what level your student is able to read at independently without much struggle and what level they would be at instructionally (with someone to guide them and still have success). The student will learn what reading level they are. We can then refer you to one of our teachers for 1:1 ELA, Guided Reading, Science of Reading or Reading Support.
Our Teachers at DEM Academy have 8+ years of experience teaching and tutoring ELA to students K-12, virtually and with homeschool/co-op groups. Our teachers are kind, patient, fun, and know the importance of establishing a safe space to learn, grow and take risks.
