課堂經歷
In this one-time course, students will become text detectives! Students will find the evidence from the passages to prove their answers. This class uses an active reading strategy – by color-coding our answers – with non-fiction informational text passages. Referring back to the text in order to support an answer is an important skill for readers to learn. To prove basic comprehension skills, we will read short passages and underline in the text (with a colored pencil or crayon) where...
Students will demonstrate the ability to write answers in complete sentences. Students will be able to prove their answers by referring back to the text.
I have a 120hr TESOL certificate and two years of experience teaching ESL learners online for companies such as Palfish, VIPKid, GoGoKid, and Magic Ears in China, and Egg School in South Korea. I have also tutored students in local schools (ie., reading help, homework help, social skills).
Students will be provided with a 3-page PDF to print. They will need a pencil and either colored pencils or crayons for color-coding.
