Did you know that Indiana is the popcorn capital of the world? Or that Kool-Aid was invented in Nebraska? Join me as we learn all about the states that make up the United States of America!
Each class we will focus on 6-7 states. We will go through the states in alphabetical order.
At the start of each class we will discuss what the students know about our states for that day. We will then find our state on our class map. Students will learn where the states are. We will explore each states flag. We will also learn fun facts about each state. At the end of each class, we will practice the 50 states song. 
Week 1- Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut
Week 2- Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois
Week 3- Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland
Week 4- Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana
Week 5- Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina
Week 6- North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, 
Week 7-South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont
Week 8- Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming
