In this once a week ongoing club we will create a visual journal of different parts of a garment and outfits. In this visual journal the student will draw and label what each item is so that it can be used as reference at a later date. We will be sketching different parts of a garment; necklines, collars, sleeves, ruffles and pleats. I will also be showing them step by step how to draw skirts, shirts, pants, shorts, dresses and gowns. I will draw each item and explain what it is and other...
The student will learn the names and how to draw different key elements of a garment. They will also use that new knowledge in their own design. They will learn how to draw different clothing.
I have a degree in Costume Design and had the wonderful opportunity to work for Yale Repertory Theater and Yale School of Drama.
