Do you like Project Runway or Making the Cut or Next in Fashion? I love these shows!!! So I have come up with a fun fashion design class; we will explore four different silhouettes and then you will create a design using that silhouette. We will meet once a week for an hour class. I will define what a silhouette is. I will give plenty of examples so the students will have a good understanding of the silhouette of the week. I will guide them step by step how to draw the body and and how to...
The students will be learning how volume or the lack of it changes a design. They will learn about how design effects the body type. They will also learn about the practicality of the garment; it needs to be wearable. They will be expanding their creative design skills, color skills and drawing skills.
